Slab Prep to the Specified CSP

RETRO Environmental’s own crews take existing floors down to sound concrete and grind to the profile your new floor system calls for, so epoxy, urethane, overlay, and polished concrete installers start on a clean, level substrate.

Our grinding equipment runs with HEPA-filtered dust collection, and negative air systems keep dust inside the work area, so adjacent spaces can stay in use while the floor is prepared. We scale production to the job, from a single room to warehouse floors covering tens of thousands of square feet. If your IH’s testing finds lead or asbestos in old coatings or mastic, RETRO’s own abatement crews handle it directly.

We Provide

  • Coating, Adhesive, and Mastic Removal
  • Diamond Grinding to the Specified CSP
  • Shot Blasting
  • Slab Leveling and Trip Hazard Removal
  • HEPA-Filtered Dust Collection and Negative Air
  • High-Production Grinding for Warehouse and Industrial Floors

What We Prepare Floors For

  • Epoxy and Urethane Coatings

Existing coatings removed and the slab ground to the specified concrete surface profile (CSP), so the new system has the profile it needs to bond.

  • Polished Concrete

High-production grinding and leveling to set up the polish installer for a consistent finish.

  • Overlays and Self-Levelers

Contaminants removed and the surface opened up for a sound bond.
